There are Several Different Ways Attorneys can Assist OLHO
Volunteer Attorneys can volunteer to take on up to two pro bono cases a year for low income veterans. Volunteers are always asked if they are capable and willing to take on each case before any obligation arises.
Mentor Attorneys can assist through mentoring volunteer attorneys who have taken cases in areas of the law they do not specialize. Mentors should be willing to take phone calls from volunteer lawyers to offer advice to these lawyers concerning their OLHO case.
